Expect only limit information in the docs. Check the ALL-IN-1
"A Technical Odyssesy" book by T. Redmond. This is a good reference.
Unlike VMS and Rdb, ALL-IN-1 product management does not see fit to publish
internals (what are they hidding ?). It is a quite frustrating to support a
product when it is so poorly documented internally and the information about
it is kept so secretive especially when our sales force sings about our
glorious OPEN system who have been wed to VAXEN.
You can only hope your customers don't ask for
non-standard things otherwise you will continually run into brick walls.

Mike is quite correct to point out that Technical Odyssey does not
cover V3.0. The reason being, of course, that V3.0 was not available
when ATO was being written. Now V3.0 is out and a new book will follow
in due course. I expect to have it available from Digital Press in
December 1992.
Unlike ATO, the new book does not cover any of the basics of ALL-IN-1.
The two have been written as a pair, with ATO covering all the
groundwork and a fair amount of background right up to V2.4. The new
book covers all the new stuff in V3.0.

| I'M sure there was a note somwhere in this conference announcing the
new book, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Can anyone help ?
I need enough info for our admin group to order it, I already have the
original ALL-IN-1 ATO book and would like to complete the set.
