440.0. "Availability date of BRITISH ENGLISH?" by WOTVAX::DORANA (Mr Ken Shabby) Wed Apr 08 1992 19:04

ALL-IN-1/British was due to ship today (8th April). Looking in VTX, I
notice that this date has been changed to the 24th April - the change
    was made today.

Can anyone give a reason for this slip date, and is the 24th going to
be the final final final release date?

    Andy,

There is a note in A1INFO - which is really where release dates should
be discussed if anywhere - that says that US ENGLISH did/does in fact
    ship today in Europe.

The reply goes on to state that BRITISH ENGLISH is not shipping today due
to 'media problems' but will ship on the 14th (not the 24th as you say).

I have no idea who is responsible for VTX or from what planet they
    receive signals (:==:)

I am of course not *official* and short of contacting the Product
Manager I am not sure how you get the *official* statement.

    Regards,

    Hi Andy (both),
BRITISH ALL-IN-1 IOS V3.0 Started to ship from ESSB in Galway on the
24th, or so I was informed.

I believe ESSB themselves provide the info on VTX.

    Stevie.

P.S. I always thought I spoke the English language (British English in
ALL-IN-1speak), however having gone on V3.0 upgrade course I find that
I have been mistaken all this time - what I actually speak is a
*DIALECT* of American English. Grumble Grumble.
