425.0. "Attachment not printing in foreground" by KURTAN::WESTERBACK (After all, who is John Galt?) Tue Apr 07 1992 14:58
Hi,
A customer had a problem with OA$FORMATTER, when suddenly some
document would get stuck there. We had problems finding the
cause of this, so as a workaround we turned off background
formatting (by deleting DO WPPBGFORMAT in SM MPR PT).
Now it turns out that EM is not printed correctly because of this.
Customer says for mail with attachments, only attachment is
printed out. (He has ALL-IN-1 V2.3). But when I tried it (2.4)
attachment was not printed out, only main body.
Maybe customer confused this, but anyway why would not the
whole mail print out in foreground? Have we both something
wrong set up? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Hans Westerback

425.1 | Check WPPSYSTEM | IOSG::NEWLAND | Richard Newland, IOSG, REO1-D/4A | Tue Apr 07 1992 16:29 | 18 |
| Check the WPPSYSTEM script, which will be used in place of WPPBGFORMAT when
printing to system queues.
In V2.2 and earlier systems the print completion scripts such as WPPSYSTEM
only handled one listing file. Since V2.3 they handle multiple listing
files. A problem I've seen reported in the past is that only the last
attachment is printed, which will occur if a V2.2 print completion script
is used with a V2.3 or later system. This appears to be what is happening
on the customer's system.
The problem on your system with only getting the mail body seems to be
specific to your system. It has not been a reported problem with V2.4. I
suggest that you check if there are any customizations to the print
sub-system.
