    I am having problems linking ALL-IN-1 ( an unorthodox link to say the
    least)
    
    My customer is running VMS 5.4-2, ALL-IN-1 2.4, WordPerfect 5.1
    Integrated into ALL-IN-1, Shared File Cabinet Package 2.0
    
    We need to link IMGDMP into ALL-IN-1 in order to troubleshoot dump
    files that are produced in WordPerfect...
    
    A DEC person from Atlanta dialed in and placed an oaimgdmp.obj file 
    and a modified a1link.com file in oa$site_build_share
    
    Shared file cabinet documentation tells me to set def oa$build_share
    to do a link
    
    WordPerfect documentation tells me to set def oa$site_build_share to
    do the link
    
    In oa$build_share there is a sitelink24.com with the following line
    write opt "wpcorp$oa20dir:wpcorp_oa20_stubs.obj"
    
    I copied a1link.com and oaimgdmp.obj to oa$build_share and proceeded
    with a link, copied the file to oa$lib_share and replaced the image
    
    Although I got no Link errors, things are not working right...
    It looks like the WordPerfect Integration is not recognized...  
    
    I backed off by installing a previous oa$main but my question is
    
    where should I do this link?
    should I copy files from oa$build_share to oa$site_build_share?
    If so what files?

    WordPerfect patch the A1LINK.COM and place it in OA$SITE_BUILD_SHARE.
    
    Now going back to what you said :-)

    Did this person realize that WordPerfect have made modifications to
    A1LINK.COM ?  The reason why WordPerfect has not been integrated could
    be due to the fact that A1LINK.COM has not references to WordPerfect
    integration !!
    
    To answer your question where you should be doing the linking it's from 
    OA$SITE_BUILD_SHARE.  But make sure that A1LINK.COM has our as well as
    WordPerfects patches.

        Please also read the notes about SFCP & WordPerfect in the
        OAWEGO::A1SFCP conference also.  To get the link issue sorted
        out, you need to merge the modified object code in OALIBR.OLB.
        WordPerfect's modifications are in OA$SITE_BUILD_SHARE and
        SFCP's are in OA$BUILD_SHARE.
        
        This is also true of the SITELINK24.COM file.  All combined
        changes should be moved to the OA$SITE_BUILD_SHARE directory
        and the relink done there.

    Sunil - rest assured that the fine people in Atlanta know all about 
    WordPerfect and what it does to SITELINK24 and A1LINK.

    Well with the problems I have had with WordPerfect and the lack of
    information it would not have suprised me if people in Atlanta did not
    know.
    
    No slight intended I am just an unhappy customer of WordPerfect !!!  But
    they are getting better.

    As it turns out, the A1link.com file that contained the new code for
    imgdmp was NOT the file that contained the code for WordPerfect...
    
    I appreciate all the help that Atlanta and the notes files have
    provided me.....
