| Hi!
I recommend that you run housekeeping procedure PT which will tell you
which accounts will cause TRU and TRM to fail. Then make the account
repairs, and then try TRU and TRM again.
For your second question, TRM will *optionally* do the TRU repairs.
When scheduling TRM there is a field which asks whether accounts are to
repaired as well. If you have plenty of time then just run TRM. If you
arte short of time then you can schedule TRU one time, and TRM (without
account repairs) another time.
I hope this is clear!
Cheers

| As I understand the procedures:
TRU tests to see if, for every record in a user's DOCDB (index of
documents) there is really a text (RMS) file that goes with it and a
record in their personal attributes file (OAUSER:DAF.DAT). Errors that
you see in the log file tell you what is wrong, and as -.1 said, PT
(Preliminary Test) will tell you ahead of time if there is *going* to
be a problem.
TRM has three parts (this is for 2.n systems, 3.0 differs):
1. Check that all the information in each user's account is
correct. Does information in the DOCDB = DAF = RMS files.
As it goes along it is adding up pointers to mail messages
(usage counts) from each user's DOCDB.
2. Does the system have correct information? For every record in
the system DAF files (OA$DAFs) is there a text for the mail
message in the directory? What is the usage count?
3. Does the information from step 1 match the information from
step 2?
So, if it can not successfully complete step 1 (which is a TRU) it does
not know if step 3 will be correct, so it stops.
This is probably MUCH more than you wanted to know, but I just love to
type! :-)
Hope it helped anyway,
Terri K.

| Thanks for many helps.
I think I've understood about their procedures more.( But not completely)
I have one question about TRU yet.
I've received mail whitch is in error message about result of TRU.
Error is two types.
1. Not found User's Directory ( ex. X.400 user )
2. User is continuing to execute ALL-IN-1, so TRU can't check him.
( I've executed TRU under working time. )
Error 2 will be clear if I execute TRU on midnight maybe.
As error 1 , I can't be clear. because X.400 user has no directory in
Profile. It has been setted like this when ALL-IN-1 has installed.
Is there no probrem that I ignore this message ?
But my customer doesn't want to receive error message.
Regards,
Yumie
