I am evaluating ALL-IN-1 application development options and I need to get some information on a some ALl-IN-1 V3.0 features. 1. V3.0 support for multiple file/data types. I am interested in using Rdb databases for the underlying data files. Is this complete support for using ALL-IN-1 as the database interface ? 2. Usage of groups in TM. Is this a feature in V3.0 ? Does this mean that I can have shared access to a users personal Action Item list. Is there any information source pointers or documentation available about these features. .. Liz

ALL-IN-1 V3.0 does support multiple data types via the /CONVERT_DATA qualifier. However, what this gives access to are binary data types stored in RMS files. In order to access Rdb/VMS databases from ALL-IN-1, use SQL Relational Access for ALL-IN1 (SRA). SRA allows application developers to map entry forms to Rdb tables and views. In the U.S. SRA is available from the Cross Industries E.I.C., in Europe and GIA, SRA is available as an ASSETS PASS package. SRA has not yet officially been upgraded to support ALL-IN-1 3.0, but the upgrade should be relatively simple (mainly to use the new CM features). However, I would expect to see an updated release of SRA in the very near future. ;-) For more information about SRA, check the Notes conference SHALOT::SRA. Joe Duncan @ OPA | |||||
