326.0. "SYSTEM-F-ROPRAND invoking ALL-IN-1" by KAOFS::M_MORIN (Le diable est aux vaches!) Wed Mar 25 1992 17:24

Can anyone come up with any reason as to why invoking ALL-IN-1 would result
in a 'SYSTEM-F-ROPRAND, reserved operand fault at PC...' error?

This is currently happening on a customer site after been booted for about
1-2 weeks. User who are in ALL-IN-1 can continue operating without problems
until they get out and get back in.

ALL-IN-1 V2.4 K602

Any help appreciated.

I'd guess that it's due to memory (stack) corruption.

Does this occur as soon as a user invokes ALL-IN-1? If so, how far into
the initialisation do they get before the error occurs?

Does the customer have any code-level integrations (either their own, or
    ASSETS)?

Has the customer installed any new hardware or software recently?

Is there a hardware fault perhaps? (Being a software person, that's
    what I'd blame :-) :-)

    Cheers,
        Paul.

Yes, I've seen this a few times (not with OA$IMAGE though) and
it was always hardware. Usually disk problems, but maybe memory
as well. Look for device errors.
