    > Could I start two different versions of allin1 systems in one machine?

    Yes. See the installation guide chapter 5 (migration tools).

    If you are in a less hurry the next time, please spell the
    name of our product correct "ALL-IN-1"

    Regards,

315.2Must be different *versions*IOSG::PYEGraham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's ApprenticeThu Mar 26 1992 09:116
    As long as they are different *versions*, e.g. V3.0 and V2.4. You can't
    have two *copies* of the same version, e.g. 3.0 and 3.0.

    Look for other notes here with coexistent in the titles.

315.3V2.3 run in parallel with V2.4TPOVC::ECHOSHIHTue Mar 31 1992 05:1520

thanks for your quick response.

I check v2.4 installation guide and can't find the information you metioned.
I guess you talk about the parallel installation in V2.3 or V3.0.

I hope my current ALL-IN-1 V2.3 can run in parallel with V2.4, but the
option 8 ( parallel installation ) disappear when I installed V2.4.

Does ALL-IN-1 V2.4 support parallel installation ?

 The ALL-IN-1 V2.3 can run in parallel with V2.2.
 The ALL-IN-1 V2.4 can run in parallel with V3.0.
 How about V2.3 and V2.4 ?

Thanks in advance

>I check v2.4 installation guide and can't find the information you metioned.

    Yes. See Installation Guide 3.0 chapter 5.2 Coexistent Systems

>I hope my current ALL-IN-1 V2.3 can run in parallel with V2.4, but the

    Why ? Upgrading to 2.4 shouldn't be that painfull.

>Does ALL-IN-1 V2.4 support parallel installation ?

    I don't think so.

 >The ALL-IN-1 V2.4 can run in parallel with V3.0.
 >How about V2.3 and V2.4 ?

    Not on a supported way. What we do on our test cluster
    is running 2.3 on one node and 2.4 on the other.

    Hope this helps,

315.5Confirmation of supported options.IOSG::PYEGraham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's ApprenticeTue Mar 31 1992 10:0510
    The only dual running options that are supported are:

    	V2.3 in parallel with V2.2.

    	V3.0 co-existent with V2.3 or V2.4.

    Others are possible if you know what you are doing, but are *NOT*
    supported.
