307.1 | You can easily set it, but... | IOSG::PYE | Graham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's Apprentice | Tue Mar 24 1992 09:08 | 11 |
| There isn't a standard option to set this field. But you can use CAB
functions to set it. Something like:
CABINET CHANGE_ATTRIBUTE OA$CURDOC,'FORWARDABLE',OA$YES,OA$NO
I'm not sure that it is much help setting it, because it is not always
used.
There was discussion about this in the previous version of this file.

307.2 | It does work, now | IOSG::SHOVE | Dave Shove -- REO-D/3C | Tue Mar 24 1992 14:21 | 12 |

Actually, I think it's reasonably good now - it certainly prevents
Auto-Forward (which it used not to), and straightforward use of the F
option. (And Attach, I think).
What it doesn't prevent (it can't, really) is methods like Gold-Get
into a new message. But then, the user could always re-type the message
anyway!

307.3 | MAIL is friendlier than CABINET | AIMTEC::WICKS_A | Vote Bill'n'Opus for a weirder USA | Tue Mar 24 1992 16:23 | 7 |
| Um I believe my elders and betters (.1 and .2) forgot about the
MAIL NON_FORWARDABLE function which is much more friendly to use
than CABINET CHANGE_ATTRIBUTE etc ..
