| 254.1 | Sorry no can help shame about the spelling | GIDDAY::SETHI | Man from Downunder | Tue Mar 17 1992 03:01 | 11 |
|  |     Hi Charles,

    Someone is going to get upset with the spelling of a wonderful product
    call ALL-IN-1 this is trademark and should be spelt correctly.

    I am sorry I do not have an answer for you maybe someone else will help
    you if you spell ALL-IN-1 like this and not All-in-1.

    Good luck and post the solution here if you don't get one from us.

| 254.2 | A couple of poor shots into the dark | BUFFER::VICKERS | Winners take action not keep score | Tue Mar 17 1992 04:16 | 15 |
| | I suspect that you'll get a better answer in the ULTRIX conference but,
    hopefully, someone here can give a better idea than you have so far.
    It sounds like the DECterm is no honoring application keypad mode. Try
    pulling down the Customize pull down and invoking General to see if the
    button next to Application Keypad is on. If not, you might wish to
    click on it and see what happens.
    I suspect that it will have no effect but you might want to try doing a
    CTRL/W in ALL-IN-1 to see if, per chance, the screen refresh will cause
    the problem to go away.
    Hang in there and watch those pesky (admittedly stupid like me :')
    trademarks,
    don

| 254.3 | Just a guess... | SANFAN::LESLIE_DA | Greetings & Solutions | Tue Mar 17 1992 05:01 | 9 |
| | I'll probably show my ignorance of not working on a VAXstation with
    this but here goes...

    I *believe* I remember creating a DECterm window and having to specify
    the type of window to create. This sounds like you've got a VT100
    DECterm session.

| 254.4 | Lock User Features? | IOSG::PYE | Graham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's Apprentice | Tue Mar 17 1992 10:24 | 7 |
| | I don't know how applicable this is on the U* system, but from Motif on
    VMS setting application keypad and Lock User features helps.

    Also if there's an equivalent to the VMS command $SET TERM/NOREGIS then
    that stops colours being messed up too.

| 254.5 | dxterm or xterm? | IOSG::TALLETT | Mit Schuh bish hi | Tue Mar 17 1992 10:55 | 9 |
|  |     Hi there!

    	Are you sure this is a DECterm? Sounds a bit like xterm which is
    	prevalent on U*x systems.

    	You need DECterm (dxterm) for application keypad mode I think.

    Regards,
    Paul

| 254.6 | DECterm has problems with ESC sequences | SUOSW3::HAMANN |  | Thu Apr 30 1992 08:29 | 10 |
|  |     Hi,
    this is a problem with DECterm, not with ALL-IN-1. There are other
    programs that do not work with DECterm.

    One source of problem is reading escape sequences from programs, that
    read escape sequences as a whole. They fail, because the ESC terminates
    the read.

|  |     Hi,

    	I have also seen a problem where the arrow keys do not seem to work
    correctly when filling in forms e.g. GOLD G and arrow down to fill in
    next form. This is due to a bug in dlogin, and there is a patch
    available from the CSC for this.
