223.1 | It might be a problem with the FCS | BUFFER::VICKERS | Winners take action not keep score | Thu Mar 12 1992 21:41 | 8 |
| Reda,
Have you verified that the File Cabinet Server is operating?
You can do this via the SM MFC MS menu options.
Hope this helps,

| Reda,
One other clue until the File Cabinet cavalry get here is the message:
%OAFC-I-NODISTLICENSE, Remote Server is not licensed to export
information
BL122D as the announcement from Product Management said has the
Distributed Sharing Option DISABLED. It would look to a novice like
me that you are invoking this functionality.
BL123 is still a future and I really don't know what we'll be allowed to
do remotely in the second and final SSB kit but it might be a
restriction.

RE: .2
Yes, I thought that too. But why should SMU access a remote
drawer? Also the error message says something about reservation.
Hmmm.

| I wonder if this is the same problem as Note 166 (see 166.17 in
particular).

| Well I'm the fall guy for those reservation messages, so a brief
explanation:
The document could not be created, because -
the document could not be reserved (this is a shared drawer), because -
the partition could not be found, because -
(I agree with Stuart) it's probably a mismatch in the phase IV name.
(this is beginning to sound like that nursery rhyme about the battle
being lost for the want of a nail)
I suppose the license message is a red herring, the partition name
can't be found and is therefore considered remote.
Unfortunately we don't allow SMU to remote users. However if you did
manage to SMU to a remote user without getting an error message perhaps
you should let us know :-}
Cheers
Dick
