Hi, I have a customer who is querying the ordering of the attendee list in ALL-IN-1. He says that when you create an event with attendees, they come out in some strange order; not the order they were added to the list. This is a classic 'senior manager complaining he is at bottom of list' When I try it, it appears to come out in alphabetic order - which is more or less what I would expect. When I told him, he said that it wasn't coming out alphabetically, Is this so?? How are the attendees ordered. I can't get them to come out un-alphabetically, so I think I can already guess where the fault is!? Steve Allam UK CSC

Yes, TM is inconsistent in this area. Especially under V2.3/V2.4. When you send a meeting request, the distribution on the mail message is in reverse order of how it was entered. However, when you read or print the event, the list is in alphabetical order. However, if you use the Mail to Attendees (MA) option, the order all mixed up. I could explain the details, but suffice it to say that this option uses an alternate key to the ATTENDEE file that the other options do not use. _Mike |
