135.0. "Can't create User accounts - ALL-IN-1 V2.4" by SAILR3::HANAM () Fri Feb 28 1992 14:02

    I'm having a problem creating user accounts.

    ALL-IN-1 version 2.5, VMS V5.3-2.

    I enter valid user info into CREATE from MUA, and the batch job is
    submitted. it goes along fine until it gets to this point: (extract
    from log)

    $ !
    $ ! If this job not called from mua_load_user then release the 'lock'
    $ !
    $       write scp ".if cli$mas_call eq 0 then - "
    $       write scp "write change profil user=""HANAM"", not$in$use = 0"
    $       write scp ".exit"
    $       close scp
    $ !
    $       allin1/noinit/reenter/user=manager/language=ENGLISH
            oa$ini_init
            get oa$function="do " cli$script_file

    and it hangs here. show process on the job shows it totally hung, no
    more cpu, nada

    SHOW SYSTEM shows

    202000B6 OA$FCV          SUSP

    not sure if that's relevent.

    thanks for any assistance.....		Mike

Hi,

>> ALL-IN-1 version 2.5

There is no such version! Do you mean V2.4 (the current shipping version) or
V3.0 (the soon-to-be-shipped version, currently in use on various FT sites)?

    numbers.. what it really says is USIS Version V2.5

    my mistake.

    Mike,

    I had a similar problem recently, but the "fix" may not apply. My
    problem was that DDS wasn't running. At that point in the procedure,
    it has added all the ALL-IN-1 stuff and is now ready to populate DDS.
    Only thing, since you are talking about USIS, I assume you aren't using
    DDS?

    A stab, anyway.
