Is there any way that a ALL-IN-1 mail message can have a "READ" status, and yet no POSTED or SENT date, and the document file still resides in the [.MSG] directory. I have a user with such, whose account only has DCL privilege...and is not captive. Any ideas? Doug Burke Consulting Services, Digital Equipment (Malaysia)

Er, possibly. VMSmail Import will place messages in [.MSG], and reading them will move them into READ and set their status as such. They SHOULD have a date on, but stranger things have happened! grahame | |||||
94.2 | CTRL/Y or C in Training Option | MSAM03::SHELL | Go the distance... | Thu Mar 05 1992 10:09 | 7 |
We finally think we know what caused this. We think that the user was creating a message using the Training option, and about half way through the sequence did a CTRL/Y or CTRL/C. The customer tried this and caused exactly the symptoms seen. Doug Burke |
