72.0. "LPS20 and LOGO" by FRAFS1::ELHAJ () Fri Feb 21 1992 12:22

Hi,

customer printed his ALL-IN-1 documents with Company LOGO to LN03 and LN03R.
He defined the escape sequences for his LOGO in the LN03.PRA and
inserted COMMAND BLOCK in his document for his LOGO:
......................
printer table logo
.....................

Now he bought LPS20 and likes to print his 1000 existed document with the
LOGO to the LPS20.

I gave him the solution:
Create EPS file containing his LOGO, insert it in CPS$DEVCTL.TLB and
define special queue with the SETUP module.

Problem is, all existing documents must be edited to remove the command blocks
--- he kills me -----

Is it possible to define the LOGO.PS in the printer table:

LOGO <INC=LOGO.PS>

if yes, what is needed more, and how ???

He uses ALL-IN-1 2.4, CPS 4.0 and ALL-IN-1 printing compati. kit.

Here is my solution, which is not accepted from my customer:

I did the following:

- i created the LOGO with DECwrite and saved it as LOGO.PS (EPSF)
- inserted it within CPS$DEVCTL.TLB (i copied the original)

$libr/insert sys$library:cps$devctl.tlb logo.ps

$init/que/start/libr=cps$devctl/...... cps

$defi/form/....../setup=logo logo_form 99

when i print from DCL:

$print/que=cps/form=logo_form test.txt

Now logging as ALLIN1 Manager:

MPR PT
C

Printer Type MY_LOGO

Printer device LN03

Print form /SETUP=LOGO

PR

C

Name PR_LOGO

Format print type	MY_LOGO

Print queue CPS

THanks for any help
