I have a users who has always had access to her managers calendar until one day last week and now she cannot SO. In fact, no unprivileged user can SO to his calendar. I have checked profiles Set User field, have checked that he didn't take any calendar access privs away, have checked the file protections on his A1CAL file, have checked file protections on CALACCESS.DAT, have converted his A1CAL and the CALACCESS.DAT, have ana/rms both files but have come up empty handed. As a privileged user I can newdir to the secretary's acct and SO to the managers calendar with no problems. The manager has no problems accessing his own calendar. I have called Atlanta on this but we still can't figure it out. Any suggestions? Pattie

53.1 | Check all the directories | SHALOT::WARFORD | Richard Warford @OPA DTN 393-7495 | Wed Feb 19 1992 22:09 | 5 |
I don't suppose that access to one of the directories from the top level down to the managers account got changed? You need access all the way from top down - not just on the end file. Rick | |||||
53.2 | SYSPRV | SHALOT::LAMPSON | Whatever ya do, ya gotta have FUN! | Thu Feb 20 1992 14:27 | 8 |
To elaborate on Rick's answer, Set Owner uses SYSPRV to get to other calendars. This directory path to the user's ALL-IN-1 subdirectory must have a minimum of execute access for system (S:E) to get to the file. In addition, the .A1CAL file itself must have at least system read+write access (S:RW) for set owner to work. _Mike |
