52.0. "OA$* logicals during V3.0 installation" by BREAKR::MIKKELSON (No man is a three-mile island.) Wed Feb 19 1992 18:52
During an new installation of ALL-IN-1 V3.0, the installation does a
check for any logicals beginning with OA$; if any are found, it allows
you to deassign them and continue. I had three such logicals: one
process and two system logicals. The installation said that any
process logicals would be deassigned before the next check, so I
deassigned the two system logicals and continued. The installation
went into a loop at that point -- it kept claiming that it couldn't
continue because of the OA$ process logical, while also claiming that
it would deassign any such process logicals before the next check.
Since I didn't see any way of deassigning the process logical outside
of that process, I had no choice but to abort the installation and
start over. Make sense?
