Entering for someone else:
When using a DEC Notebook to connect to a remote VAX cluster
(ALL-IN-1), the keypad is not consistent with the ALL-IN-1 functions.
(I.E. The 0 (Exit) key does not work). Are there alternate keys to
use?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Without knowing anything much about this, I can answer part of your
question: "(I.E. The 0 (Exit) key does not work). Are there alternate keys to
use?"
Yes - you can use Gold-K, Gold-Q or <EXIT> (F10) - I don't know which
of these keys will be mapped by your terminal emulator, but presumably
Gold is OK?
Dave.

| 37.3 | NUM-LOCK? | IOSG::TALLETT | Mit Schuh bish hi | Wed Feb 19 1992 18:34 | 14 |
Hi there!
I meant to answer this earlier but I wanted to check it out on
a laptop and got distracted before I could answer. My guess is
that the "NUM-LOCK" key will have some bearing on the situation.
The keypad keys are overlaid (I think) on the laptop, so you have
to switch them into the right "mode" to get this to work. Also try
CONTROL-W to get ALL-IN-1 to switch the keypad to application mode
(in the terminal emulator). Its all fairly confusing this lot.
What terminal emulator are you using? There may be a setup option
that affects this too.
Regards,
Paul
