    Welcome to the ALL-IN-1 conference.

    This conference is for the *INFORMAL* support of the ALL-IN-1 product.
    A definition of ALL-IN-1 - We're primarily talking about the product
    now called ALL-IN-1 Integrated Office Server, or ALL-IN-1 IOS for
    short. Although people here know about other things in the Office area,
    there are often conferences specifically for these products, many of
    which are mentioned in note 4.* in this conference.
    
    This conference works in a cooperative manner, such that we all share
    our experiences to help each other.  This product and conference
    (through its many previous volumes)  has a long and proud tradition of
    being human and allowing people to be people.  That means that humour
    and fun are encouraged as long as it doesn't get too far off track.
    
    The meaning of the previous paragraph is that you are not guaranteed
    any sort of answer at all here, much less a correct one! If you don't
    get any response to your question within a few days, then it probably
    means that none of us have any ideas about it. Posting replies to your
    own note requesting an answer are equivalent to talking to yourself,
    and would be considered to be the first sign of madness in some
    quarters :-)  Of course, that sometimes helps.
    
    The conference is hosted on the node IOSG, which is the home of the
    Central Engineering Group "Integrated Office Systems Group" that
    develops ALL-IN-1. This does not affect the rules stated above; If you
    definitely want an answer to something, then you need to go through the
    *OFFICIAL* support routes of submitting an SPR. Hopefully this
    conference will enable us to get speedy responses to most questions,
    thus saving the Corporation lots of $$ in administration, and most
    importantly, keeping our customers happy.
    
    Please try and see if your question has been asked before, use the
    notes DIR/TITLE commands. The moderators and hopefully authors, try to
    make titles meaningful to help this.
    
    Writing "thank you" notes is not encouraged. If you're pleased with the
    answer someone has given you, send them a mail message, it's a lot more
    personal, and besides, they can forward it to their manager!

    And *PLEASE* spell ALL-IN-1 correctly, for reasons see note 13.

    As well as being a `support' conference, we welcome suggestions of new
    functionality and enhancements to ALL-IN-1.  For example, if you have
    always wanted the DECfoo product integrated ALL-IN-1, then this is the
    place to ask your suggestion.

    If you have a suggestion, please WRITE a new note giving details of your
    suggestion.  If you have more than one suggestion, write a separate note
    for each suggestion.  It also helps, if you include `wish:' in the note's
    title (for example `Wish: integrate DECfoo product'.)  There is also a
    `WISH' keyword available for adding to your note.
