12.0. "How to move from the previous version to this file" by IOSG::PYE (Graham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's Apprentice) Thu Jan 30 1992 16:16

    The following steps have been taken to create this new version of the
    ALL-IN-1 Support Conference:

     o OAWEGO::ALL-IN-1.NOTE renamed to OAWEGO::ALL-IN-1_V24 (This copy may be
       moved to IOSG later.)

     o IOSG::ALL-IN-1 (this file) created

    Although the conference has now moved to IOSG:: the home of the
    Engineering group that develops ALL-IN-1, we have re-used the same file
    name for the new version to make the change easy for the majority of
    users. However, it may cause some confusion in your notebook and mind.

    If you wish to maintain the previous version of this conference in your
    notebook along with the unseen map then you should modify this entry to
    your notebook after the switch so that you have access to it and the
    unseen map and markers are maintained:

    Notes> MODIFY ENTRY ALL-IN-1/NAME=ALL-IN-1_V24/FILE=OAWEGO::ALL-IN-1_V24

    The new version of IOSG::ALL-IN-1 can then be added to your notebook
    by pressing the SELECT or keypad 7 keys on your terminal. There are a
    variety of 'overhead' notes taking up the first 15 topics of the new
    conference. Readers of this conference may wish to skip over them by
    doing a SET SEEN/BEFORE=10-Feb-1992 once they have entered the new
    conference.

    If you do not wish to keep the previous version of the conference in
    your notebook then you only need to modify the conference file name:

	Notes> MODIFY ENTRY ALL-IN-1/FILE=IOSG::ALL-IN-1

    and then use the SET SEEN command as above to reset the SEEN map so
    that you will see new notes and replies. Note that if you don't do this,
    you won't see *ANY* new notes or replies.

    The discussions will remain focused on the support of all customer
    available versions of ALL-IN-1. The timing of this change in files
    coincides with the release of ALL-IN-1 V3.0 fairly closely but the new
    version will support ALL previous versions as well.

    Keep the faith,

    Graham (But the text is mostly what Don wrote last time!)
