3716.0. "Mouse behavior at window borders." by LNGBCH::SCHNEIDER (pluto) Mon Nov 26 1990 15:03

I'm not sure if this belongs in a "wishlist" or a "how do I do this" catagory:

I have my MWM set up to do autoraise and autofocus when the pointer moves
into the window space. However the border on the windows is small enough
that it can be a bit frustrating when manipulating items near the edge because
the window will pop behind if you overshoot onto the next window. So is
it possible to make the Window manager dispose of, say 20 pixels worth
of motion in the direction of the border before moving the mouse over it?
This would effectively create a much wider border as far as mouse motion is
concerned without taking up more screen real-estate. I hope I'm doing
a decent job of explaining how I'm visualizing this...

I think if you change the MatteWidth (don't remember off hand the exact
resource name) in your DECW$XDEFAULTS.DAT or DECW$MWM.DAT file to
be 20 (or whatever looks good) you should get the desired effect.
