I am having a problem which I cannot find any reference to in
any notes file, and I've looked. The problem is this, I am running
VMS V5.4 and the new DECwindows Motif kit, when I try and get a
window to shrink to an icon the window shrinks and goes away??? No
Icon appears and it just gone. I have run autogen a couple of times
to see if I had anything set wrong, no help. I also only get one
DECterm started when I login. I have 2 setup to autostart.
Any ideas what I have done wrong???

See my reply in VMSNOTES. Please don't post in both places. This is the right place for it. Danny | |||||

Danny,
If you'd check you would see that I have already deleted the note
out of the field test notes file. Now since this is the right place,
can anybody help so that I know if I should submit a QAR or not?

re .2: You forgot VMSNOTES, which was what Danny was referring to.
I'll refrain from further comments on the practice of cross-posting.

Upgraded to VMS V5.4-1 and rebooted last night. Same problem.
When I use the decoration in upper right-hand corner to shrink
to an icon, the window shrinks and dies.
I am sure that this is cockpit error, but from where I am
sitting, in the cockpit, I can't see what I'm doing wrong. Does
anybody have any ideas what I should be checking???
Thanks,
John
