Hello Folks, Ive got a DECWINDOWS/PAINT problem that is occasionally happening that I would like to put before you for "fix" ideas!! I have six .DDIF files that I'm updating/editing on a regular basis then printing (.PS) for hard copy!! This proceedure works much of the time, but ocassionally when I go and retreive one of the six .DDIF Files, using OPEN command then double 'clicking' the mouse, and 'highlighting'the file I wish to update, the PAINT window just collapses and I cant get access to the file,I then have to go back and get a 'backup' (from TK50 )to get where I was before and re-edit lost information!! There is always ONE BLOCK difference (less) between the one that my .DDIF directory holds, and the one the "backup" restored presents!! Ive enabled the FILEVIEW-WORK IN PROGRESS,and when this 'funny' happens I read SHOW OUTPUT and it read as follows:- ***************************************************************************** %IMG-F-FRAMIMPER,Frame import error when importing data for frame-id 232 -DDIS-E-PHYENDINP,physical end of input before end of encoding ***************************************************************************** Can you help???? Thanks in anticipation Regards Chris

In the meantime, I don't understand why you're going to a backup all the time! Just keep a spare copy of the file!

The simplest thing you can do is upgrade from VMS V5.1 to V5.3 or V5.4. We probably fixed a zillion bugs since V1 of the product!
