A customer told me that if he tryes to log into a captive account thru
decwindow he gets the fallowing message:
decwindow does not support captive accounts
all this happens with vms 5.3-1.
On my vax station I have vms 5.4 and I work normaly with captive
accounts.
Does any one know if this is normal with 5.3-1 ?
(I would prefer not doing a downgrade !!!!! to try this )

Re: .0 Captive accounts (i.e. accounts with the CAPTIVE flag set in the UAF record) do n't work with DECwindows in both VMS V5.3-1 and V5.4. When you said that on your VAXstation you work normally with captive accounts, did you log in from the DECwindows login box and is the CAPTIVE flag set for the captive account? -- Bob | |||||

You were right, to try the captive account I was doing a set host 0
within a decterm and in this way it works. Tring thru the login bax a
receiped the same message of the customer.
