A customer is trying to install DECwrite/British 1.0, and DECview3D,
and he gets an error while unpacking the save sets. The error for
both products is of the form"
"%VMSINSTAL-E-BADSPEC, file spec XXXXX.UID cannot be parsed"
At first, I thought it was a DECview3D problem, but after he tried
DEcwrite as well, it seemed to be a DECwindows/VMS problem.
Could there be a DECwindows problem which would cause these symptoms,
when trying to install DECwindows products?
Ideas?
