3619.0. "create DECW$BOOK files " by HAMOP::UWEH () Fri Nov 09 1990 03:51

Hello

I don't know if this was asked before.
How can I create my own documents in BOOKREADER format ?

Thanks in advance for any hints

DECWRITE V1.1 has this as an output format.

3619.2you can use DOCUMENT and ditroff in addition to DECwriteVIA::EPPESI'm not making this up, you knowFri Nov 09 1990 13:1524
You can also use VAX DOCUMENT to create Bookreader files (in fact, using
DOCUMENT was the only way to do so until DECwrite V1.1 was available).
The VAX DOCUMENT V2 field test manuals contain information on how to create
online books. See the CLOSET::DOCUMENT conference (I think note 2 has kit
and documentation info).

Use the CLOSET::ONLINE_BOOKBUILDING conference to report any problems you have
building online books with VAX DOCUMENT.

Use the QUEEN::DECWRITE conference for DECwrite questions. The old DECWRITE
conference at QUEEN::DECWRITE_ARCHIVE_1 has lots of info on creating Bookreader
output with DECwrite. Do a DIR/TITLE=bookreader in that conference to find the
relevant notes.

You can also create Bookreader output using ditroff (I think) on ULTRIX.
I'm not sure which notes file has information on this. The Open Publications
Tools conference at DECWET::OPEN-PUB-TOOLS might be a place to look.

Good luck!

P.S. The general Bookreader conference is at BULOVA::BOOKREADER, but if you
ask your question there, you will get pointers similar to what I've provided
above.
