3607.0. "invisible display using Sony Monitor" by OASS::ALI_A (Success=Determination+God's Help) Wed Nov 07 1990 20:44

Background

I couldn't find any reference to this specific issue. A customer I talked to
running DECchart on a DECstation 5000/200px and displaying on a 19 inch
Sony Monitor which he said he bought thru DEC. The Sony monitor has a 1280/1024
resolution and is referred to as VRT19. On the DECstation, he is running
ULTRIX/RISC 4.0.

Problem:

If he invokes DECchart and calls up a worksheet, it displays the work sheet
but the row and column headings are invisible. In other words

    A B C D E etc.

1
2
3
4
5
etc.

are all invisible. Anything he types in the worksheet is invisible.

Is there anything that can be done?
I made him type in: xset fp+ /var/X11/fonts/private/100dpi
but that did not help.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
