3512.0. "Unable to get high sixel resolution with DECpaint" by RHETT::KNORR (Carolina Blue) Tue Oct 23 1990 16:06
In DECpaint (VMS V5.3-1) if I generate Postscript output of a drawing
at 75 dpi and another at 300 dpi I notice significant differences in
the 2 resulting outputs. The 300 dpi is smaller and much crisper, as
I'd expect. The 75 dpi looks pretty much just like my workstation
screen - jagged edges on ellipses, etc.
Following the exact same scenario as above except for ANSI output
is a different story. The resulting output, whether generated at
300 dpi or 75 dpi is *exactly* the same. It is always of poor
resolution.
Has anyone noticed this before? Am I missing something obvious?
I'll be happy to SPR this but thought I'd throw it out in here first.
Much thanks,
- Chris
