3458.0. "Keyboard caps lock problem on login" by BLUFIN::WILLIAMS (Just one more QSO) Thu Oct 11 1990 15:47
I'm not sure where to post this, so you may see this entry in several
conferances.
I have a VS3100 with a LK401-AA keyboard attached, running DECwindows and for
some time I have noticed that there are times when the 'Lock' LED was lit,
however, I was still getting lower case letters on the screen.
After seeing this problem again this morning, I thought to myself, "Self, this
work station does not recognize the keyboard in a caps lock state when it goes
through the login process."
So, I cycled the lock key off then on again, and the upper case letters
appeared on the screen. Next I logged out, then in again with the lock LED
lit and the same problem has happened, only lower case letters, infact, I
have typed this file, in EDT, with the LED lit and using the shift key for
upper case letters.
Any thoughts on where the BUG is?.
Would someone kindly put this note where it belongs?. (shame on you)

| I've seen and QAR'd this against DECTERM some time ago. If you're using
another application, QAR it against them...
