Hi, 

One of my customer complains about customization problem under decwindows.

Decwindows can't access files not located in system common root directories
(SYS$COMMON:). This is specially true for files located by the logicals 
CDA$LIBRARY, DECW$BOOK, DECW$KEYMAP, DECW$SYSTEM_DEFAULTS, VUE$LIBRARY.

So, there is no way to customize settings on station basis in a NI cluster.
For example, you can't restrict access to bookreader documents by creating a 
library.decw$bookshelf in the specific directory. (Of course you can define 
decw$book to point to another directory).

The only required modification is to replace "SYS$COMMON:" by "SYS$SPECIFIC:" at
proper place in decwindows startup and to create a specific directory under the
station root.

Is there any plan to have specific directories for CDA$LIBRARY, DECW$BOOK, etc
in a future release ?

Does my customer need to submit an SPR ?

Can you provide some informations about this ?
