3372.0. "Does selecting an alternate keymap work with V5.4?" by CVG::PETTENGILL (mulp) Fri Sep 21 1990 01:36
I'm unable to select an alternate keymap with my V5.4 system, which also
happens to have two heads. I don't have access to a single head V5.4 system
at the moment. Would someone kindly try selecting an alternate keyboard
and report whether it works?
The simplest way to do this is to bring up the session manager, pull down
customize, select Keyboard..., and then in the list of keyboards select
Austrian German, Apply, and then focus on a text window and type the keyboard z.
If you get a `y', then you have switched keymaps, if you get a z, then you
haven't switched keymaps and there is a bug, (or you come from a different
part of the world and your default keyboard is not the standard US keyboard
that I'm using).
