| On what system? 1 minute seems easily possible given my experience on
a VS3100/40.

| The workstations are a mix of VS 3100 and VS 3200's. They will have 24 MB of
memory.
The workstation is already powered on and booted. I am just measuring the
time to login and start a session and Decterm.
If it helps; the workstation will boot from it's own disk and will NOT be part
of an LAVC.
If .1 still thinks this is possible, could you post or mail your sysgen parm
settings?
Bill.

| SYSGEN settings have nothing to do with it. What you have to do is to keep
to a minimum the work that gets done in your LOGIN.COM and just have the
DECterm be the only Auto-Start application. You should easily be able to
beat one minute after entering the password.
