I put this in the FILEVIEW notes conference, but had no luck 
in there.

I have a customer running VMS v5.3-1 and DECwindows.
He is using the Notepad editor from Fileview and gets one of the 
following when doing a Save.

either

%SYSTEM-F-ACCVIO, access violation, reason mask = 01,
virtual address=00F29308, PC=00037715, PSL=03C00000

Then follows an improperly handled condition, image exit
forced.

or

%SYSTEM-F-ROPRAND, reserved operand fault at 
PC=00037723, PSL = 03C00001

Then improperly handled condition, image exit
forced.

I have looked through numerous notesfiles, and tried
to reproduce the problem here on 5.3, 5.3-1 and 5.4
but so far have not come across either of these errors.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in

    I seem to remember some problems with Notepad doing file accesses.
    Supposedly there are/were problems with VMS-specific access control,
    e.g. file protection problems or access to the file is granted only 
    via an ACL. I suggest checking to see if your customer has any
    file protections that aren't vanilla.
