| I've seen this problem, too. In my case, I get an icon in the icon box,
and by its (the icon's) visible attributes the child window should be visible,
but is not. If I click on the icon, it changes to the 'iconified' state.
Clicking again makes the child visible.

| No, it wasn't a WM problem. Turned out to be a default, specifically
DECW$CARDFILER*initialState: 3 (iconic) that caused all future windows to start up
iconic, even those with out the shrink-to-icon button.

| I have already brought this to the attention of the Toolkit people. On ultrix
the cardfiler crashes as a result.
