    A customer has a vax station 3100, and decw doesn't start.
    Vms 5.3, the window system is 1, I checked and the device GCA0
    is off line.
    
    Any idea why????

	1. The system is color, so the device is GA or GD and not GA 2. DECwindows support was not included when the system was build. You can add it back in with DECW$TAILOR Burns
