3222.0. "Problems displaying EPS on remote workstation" by MANTA::SIMON (SSB is boring...Give me FT kits!!) Fri Aug 17 1990 10:07
I have a problem with DECpresent which no-one in the DECpresent conference has
been able to shed any light onto, so I thought I'd try here.
I am running the latest version of DECpresent, which has the facility to display
Encapsulated PostScript files, on a color VS3100/40 running VMS V5.4-4G1, that
is the version which has the DECW$SERVER_EXTENSIONS logical defined.
The EPS documents display fine on the color VS but if I log onto this node from
a remote workstation (mono), do a SET DISPLAY and invoke DECpresent the EPS
files aren't displayed. All I get is the crossed-box with the filename in it.
The mono workstation is exactly the same configuration as the color one (except
for the monitor). It even has V5.4-4G1 installed with the DECW$SERVER_EXTENSIONS
defined.
Why don't the EPS files display on the mono workstation?
Thanks for any advise.
Simon.
