Subject: DECW Doc

I'm appealing to you in your capacity as DEC liaison. Is there any
documentation on what tools are available at the DCL level for VMS
DECW? I have managed to find out about 'FONTCOMPILER' only by
hearsay. I have read every manual I can find. In particular, I would
like to know if there are DECW equivalents for MIT's 'xset',
'xlsfonts' and 'xfd'.

(I have managed to port xlsfonts, and have more or less reverse-
engineered xset and xfd. I still want to know what the normal toolset
is.)
------------------

Any information regarding this?

Thanks,

The VMS DECwindows font compiler is documented in Appendix A to
the Guide to Xlib Programming.

We do not distribute the MIT programs xset, xlsfonts, or xfd.
I know that they would be very handy to have as standard tools.
They are available from DECUS, however.

See CD Rom Collection 6, DECUS order number VS0114. It has the R3 clients etc
all ported to VMS + the complete R4 distribution (unported).
