Subject: DECW Doc
I'm appealing to you in your capacity as DEC liaison. Is there any
documentation on what tools are available at the DCL level for VMS
DECW? I have managed to find out about 'FONTCOMPILER' only by
hearsay. I have read every manual I can find. In particular, I would
like to know if there are DECW equivalents for MIT's 'xset',
'xlsfonts' and 'xfd'.
(I have managed to port xlsfonts, and have more or less reverse-
engineered xset and xfd. I still want to know what the normal toolset
is.)
------------------
Any information regarding this?
Thanks,

The VMS DECwindows font compiler is documented in Appendix A to the Guide to Xlib Programming. We do not distribute the MIT programs xset, xlsfonts, or xfd. I know that they would be very handy to have as standard tools. They are available from DECUS, however. | |||||

See CD Rom Collection 6, DECUS order number VS0114. It has the R3 clients etc all ported to VMS + the complete R4 distribution (unported). Burns | |||||
