[I don't seen other notes on this, but this must have come up sometime!] Is there a way to force things like DECwindows CLOCK, CALENDAR, etc., to start up in specific screen locations? I can do it with DECterms, but how about the other guys? thanks,-reed

If you make a copy of the DECW$CLOCK.DAT file, and place it in SYS$COMMON:[DECW$DEFAULTS.USER] directory, it has comments in it telling you how to do this. For CALENDAR however, I have found no way of changing the position. Usually, you have to look in the individual .DAT files to see if something like this is supported. Sometimes it is, and sometimes it isn't. Also, some applications save their location if you customize them. Dave |
