| It sounds like what he's trying to do is pass a Window id or something
so that multiple applications can write to the same window.

| One easy way to share windows among applications is to put the window
ID in a property of the root window. Give the property a well known
name. Any client wishing to access the window can read the ID from the property.
Disclaimer: X was never meant to be a general purpose IPC mechanism.
X purists will strongly discourage hacks like this.
