3173.0. "RWMBX hangs" by CRBOSS::COLBATH () Mon Aug 06 1990 17:19

I had posted this in the CLUSTER note conference a couple of weeks ago, with
no replies. Can anyone help or seen the happening on their clusters?

I keep getting process on different workstations on my MI going it RWMBX state.
Below is a SHOW SYSTEM of the system with the RWMBX process. When this happens
the user on that workstation can not get any more DECterm windows.
The way I have been clearing them is logging on to the system and

	$ANALYZE/SYSTEM
	SHOW SUMMARY	!get the index of the hung process
	SET PROCESS/INDEX=nn
	SHOW PROCESS/CHANNEL	!find the MBA dev numbers
	$COPY MBA##: NL:	!the control_y and type
	SHOW SYSTEM !to see if process goes away. If not do copy
				!from next MBA##

Any ideas why this is happen?
below is a copy of the set h log.

    This is a known problem with the DECterm controller. It has been
    QAR'ed in the DECwindows-ift database of TRIFID as QAR #3978. See
    notes 539.* and 564.* in the HANNAH::DECW$DISK:[PUBLIC]DECTERM.NOTE
    notes file.
