I'm the developer for an "internal only" product which runs under DECwindows. I'm wondering if I can get my KITINSTAL.COM to set up the applications menu definitions and set up the autostart for the user account which gets created during the install. Is this possible, and if so how? Thanks, Ed

Since the interface or format for the session manager menus is an unpublished one, any action on the part of KITINSTAL.COM to modify the menus would be unsupported and probably render the session manager menus unusable in some future version of DECwindows or Motif. Having said that, maybe someone knows how to do it anyway... | |||||

You can however, add yourself to the fileview menus. See the Using DECwindows book for the documentation on this. DECwrite, DECchart, DECdecision and a few other apps do this. Pete |
