I am looking for information regarding any products which run under
DECwindows on various and multiple platforms. This may include
CAD/CAM applications, Spreadsheets, etc. However, I am particularly
interested in graphics type applications.
Specifically, I need information on products which would be excellent
demonstration material for customers, yet more sophisticated and
practical than the "Swimmer" demonstration, and ideally would run under
MS/PC-DOS, U*IX, VMS, and/or OS/2.
If you know of any products or demonstrations along these lines, please
let me know, or please point me in a direction where I might learn
more.
This note is cross-posted to the X11 conference.

Good luck! First of all, you'd need to find someone who shipped a full X-11
environment for DOS and OS/2...no one currently does (though Quarterdeck may
provide something for DOS by the end of this year).
If all you need is an X-Server on your "various and multiple platforms", then
that becomes quite easy for DOS, but again, may not be available for OS/2 yet.
I know of no vendor who is currently SHIPPING even an X-Server for OS/2...though
a couple, including Digital, have "program announced" that they will do so.
As for DOS X-servers, the only limitation you would have displaying any
application the was RUNNING on a different client platform would be any unique
demands placed on the server by the client (Imaging extensions, 3D assumptions,
MANY colors, etc.).
