Hi, Has anybody tried writing their own DECwindows transport. If so, did you have any problems such as getting the following message :- SYSTEM-F-PRIVINSTALL, Shareable images must be installed to run privelledged image - DECW_TRANSPORT_CTCP I have a customer who is following the examples given in section 8 of the transport manual. This is just a preliminary enquiry as I don't know what's involved here. Thanks for any info. Richard

I just looked at Chapter 8, and in fact the chapter tells how to build the example transport, but not how to install and run it. This is an oversight which should be fixed in the next version of the manual. In the meanwhile, have the customer look at the VMS V5.3 Installation Guide. It tells how to install and use third-party transports. |
