Hello,
I have a cycle program that will display & set input focus
to a window apon hitting a function key. But I want to get
rid of the mouse pointer completly off the screen. Is this
possible and how do I do it?
This is for shop floor factory control system so the keyboard
they are using wont have a control key to allow activation of
the panel with the arrow keys.
thanks
Lyn

Would just hiding it be enough? You could always set the colors or the bitmap (like XSETROOT does) so that it is invisible.

No, because they want it for security reasons i.e. the operators
are "dumb" users and they dont want them to be able to pop up
the session mgr or anything else "dangerous".

If you don't want access to the session manager, one option is not to run the session manager on that display... paul

Don't know if this solves your problem, but you could grab the pointer and confine it to some "safe" window. Ken
