-< Problems with DECWINDOWS >- Dear DECWINDOWS gurus, we've some problems with decwindows. I don't know if this is the right conference, but I try it. Sometimes ALL windows are disapearing, only the sessionmanager remains on on the screen. This case happens very often after setting the terminal width to 132 characters. I've set the parameters for the "Process Entry Slots" and "Balance Set Slots" to a greater value, but I think this didn't solves our problems. Any ideas ?? Best wishes, Jan 'lets loose because of DECwindow problems' Holzer

Re: .0 When you say "all windows" you probably mean "all DECterm windows". It sounds like DECterm is running out of memory. One way to avoid this is to increase your PQL_DPGFLQUOTA parameter in SYSGEN. In the shipped (post-field test) version of VMS V5.4, DECterm will have slightly better error recovery when it runs out of memory. Instead of crashing, it will ignore the resize request. -- Bob |
