Having acquired an 8 plane system after all this time with 4, I'm now taking full advantage of the CREATE/TERMINAL/WINDOW_ATTRIBUTES=(Foreground= colour1,background=colour2) to colourcode what I'm doing and where. But I can't colourcode the icons - or can I? Andy

Using the standard DECW window manager, I was able to do a little
of what you want by playing with the following resources in the
xdefaults file:
wm*borderColor:
wm*titleBar.foreground:
wm*titleBar.background:
wm*titleBar.highlight:
wm*iconBox*foreground:
wm*iconBox*background:
wm*iconBox.foreground:
wm*iconBox.background:
This won't let you use different colors for each icon though.
To really use up all those color maps and get different colors
for each client, you need the MOTIF window manager. That will
do what you want.
