2933.0. "Problem creating windows with different UICs on the same satellite" by AYOU32::IAIN (AYRMIS:: Iain Fergusson, Ayr IMTS) Thu Jun 14 1990 09:20
I need to have DECterm windows logged in to different accounts. To achieve this,
I have entries on my Application Menu which fire up a network process on a
remote node, using a proxy login. This then does a CREATE /TERM to create
a window on my workstation, without my having to give a username and password.
This all works O.K. when the network process is on a machine other than my
workstation.
HOWEVER, if I create the network process on my workstation, so all three
processes are running on the one satellite, the CREATE /TERM command
returns the error
%SYSTEM-F-NOPRIV, no privilege for attempted operation
It creates a window, but does not manage to log in. If I click on the window
and hit any key, I get the USERNAME prompt, and can then give USERNAME and
PASSWORD to log in successfully.
The problem does not occur if the proxy account has the same UIC as my main
account
