2923.0. "Session Manager width and height?" by CRACKR::SYSTEM () Wed Jun 13 1990 12:10

    How do I save the session manager width and height?

    I reduced the width and selected the customize save option. After
    quiting and restarting the session the normal session manager window
    width was started.

    I edited DECW$SM_GENERAL.DAT but only found "sm.x:" and "sm.y:."

    Ok...Wrong term |Sorry|

    What I should have said was the Icon window. The "sm.message_size_height"
    and "sm.message_size_width" are saved by "Customize" "Save Current
    Settings."

>>> What I should have said was the Icon window.

    Make your icon box the size you want and position it where you want
    it to appear, then place the mouse inside the icon box and hold down
    MB2. Select the save option. It will write your icon box set-up data
    to the file SYS$LOGIN:DECW$WINMGR.DAT

    Here's my DECW$WINMGR.DAT file:

*geometry:	1020x44+2+21
*sticky.state:	0
*zooming:	0
*expandiconfocus:	1

    I've never understood the format of the "geometry" data.
    I guess the 1020x44 is the width-by-height, but what is the +2+21 ?
2923.4x = +2, y = +21AIMHI::TINIUSI didnt lose it, I just cant find itThu Jun 14 1990 15:315

+2+21 are the x and y coordinates of the upper left corner of the box.
