2918.0. "XDrawLines/XFillPolygon on 3200" by CSC32::B_KEMP (X'ed out TopFlite) Tue Jun 12 1990 17:20
Well, so much for keeping things where they belong. Maybe this will
fly over here???

Note 886.0 XDrawLines/XFillPolygon on a 3200 No replies

I am trying to find information on the behavior of the server on a
3200 regarding XDrawLines and XFillPolygon(is it the server that controls
this?). A customer was told that the problems they were having with
XFillPolygon under 5.2 VMS would be fixed under 5.3 VMS. They worked
around this by using XDrawLines to fill the polygon. Under 5.3, the
XDrawLines routine is not working. Apparently, it draws the lines
ambigously without regard for the endpoints specified.
They are drawings to a large rectangle and the distance between the
points is over 4000 pixels. This works fine on their 3100's and 2000's
or if the distance between the pixels is reduced to the width of off-screen
memory. I have seen some vague mention of this in several notes in the
various DECWindows conferences, but nothing really specific(unless I am
missing something).
Does this sound familiar? Let me know and if not, I will get a piece
of code. Also, the 3200 is a GPX/Gray Scale.
