2883.0. "DECW$EXAMPLES:PLAID mucks up the system?" by DIODE::CROWELL (Jon Crowell) Wed Jun 06 1990 01:47
System: VS3100/SPX, 16MB, VMS5.3-2
I tried running the DECW$EXAMPLES:PLAID.EXE demo program
and had my system lock up; eg. Mouse would move but
couldn't ^Y the program. The demo screen was doing its
thing like mad.
I was able to set host to the system, suspend the process
that was running the PLAID demo and then ^Y the program
from its window.
Later (tonight) I noticed that the SERVER_0 process was
stuck in a tight loop soaking up 100% of the CPU time.
After I re-booted the system it ran fine. I wasn't able
to take a crash-dump while it was sick since I'm home.
I can try it some time later and if it does the same
thing I can get a dump if anyone is interested.

| I don't have that problem on V5.4 at least.
